De La Rue
Project: A multimedia presentation tool that provided the sales staff with a high quality presentation that could be customized for specific customers.
Goals: Create a consistent sales message company wide, while still maintaining the ability to create targeted pitches to potential buyers.
Process: De La Rue was in a similar situation to many other companies. They had been using PowerPoint because of the ability to customize their presentations (sometimes at the very last minute), but they were unhappy with the look and feel of traditional PowerPoint presentations. They wanted to maintain the ability to quickly modify presentations, but wanted all of the high quality graphics and animation of a professionally created "Canned" multimedia presentation.
Brella Productions worked closely with De La Rue's marketing group to fine-tune the desired content. The team determined which pages and elements need to be customizable, and which pages required a consistent and approved message. At the same time, Brella's creative staff designed an engaging interface to complement De La Rue's existing branded materials. The result was a visually compelling presentation that featured animated graphics and charts as well as engaging video that clearly presented the De La Rue message. The CD featured a library of content pages that could be used within many different types of sales presentations. It also contained a customized sales presentation tool that allowed the sales staff to easily customize the content on specific pages and add new pages (from a library of pre-designed templates) to the presentation. Brella also built in the functionality to be able to re-arrange or add / remove any of the pages from the presentation. This meant that De La Rue could effectively create an unlimited number of unique, customized presentations that would fit any sales situation. These customized presentations could then be saved out individually for both immediate and future use. The customized data for the changes and the content on the customized pages was stored as small database text files that could be quickly emailed to other users, allowing the sales staff to save time and share unique sales approaches.
Results: The combination of ease of use with a large degree of customization has allowed De La Rue to create a consistent, personalized sales message, without the expense of "Reinventing the Wheel" each time they present to a new client.
